Join master yoga teachers Baxter Bell, MD, and Melina Meza for an enlightening and informative program that focuses on practical strategies for a lifetime of vitality and well-being.
Baxter and Melina have re-tooled this training to suit an online platform, with innovative and rich content and experiences. It will feature a lively schedule which alternates talks, practices, interactive breakout modules, and short breaks.
This intensive includes expert medical information and adapted yoga postures for maintaining physical, mental, and emotional wellness. Students of all levels learn to set themselves up for a lifetime of healthy living; 200- and 500-hour yoga teachers have the opportunity to receive Yoga for Healthy Aging certification.
Participants will learn:
daily practices to support the circulatory system and heart health;
yoga for managing stress, optimizing brain health, and experiencing equanimity;
how and why yoga supports healthy aging;
essential yoga poses, sequences, and other health-promoting practices;
movement sequences for strength flexibility, balance, and agility;
how to cultivate long-term balance; and Ayurveda for healthy aging.
Yoga teachers can enhance their teaching toolkit, and yoga students at all levels of experience can benefit from tools to create a personalized yoga program that meets their particular needs and concerns.

11:00a - 5:00p EST with an hour break for lunch
$850 per student
$150 optional additional fee for those yoga teachers seeking a Yoga For Healthy Aging certification, including special breakout sessions dedicated to a final teaching evaluations, plus distribution of a take-home exam due within the month.
*Those seeking the certification may miss up to but no more than five hours of instruction to review later by recording, and must document viewing of the videos by providing a short word doc outline of the missed sessions, with key learning points, to be turned in by Aug. 17th. Those seeking certification must be present (live, on Zoom) for the second half of Sunday Aug 9 (after lunch break).
