workshops and special events
Our workshops offer deep dives for knowledge and practice that focus on a particular area of interest, led by guest experts or our own experienced teaching staff. We also feature occasional fun yoga classes for kids and families, holiday pop-ups, and donations-only classes to support good causes. An empowering workshop to explore the practice of arm balances. Ahmed will guide you through a series of poses, drills, and techniques to help build strength, confidence, and control. This workshop is for anyone looking to challenge themselves and expand their practice, and for teachers seeking to deepen their knowledge and skills.
Learn to use a foam roller in a practice that provides challenge and relaxation in a safe environment. Reduce the stress of tight muscles and constricted connective tissue, improve circulation, and enjoy accessible self-massage. We will incorporate the moves into a slow, all-levels hatha yoga class and end with restorative poses, to reinvigorate the body.
Explore the pelvis through a series of simple tests, visual demonstrations, and therapeutic practices drawn from yoga therapy, somatics, and the Egoscue method. Using props like blocks, the wall, and the floor as teachers, learn to identify common pelvic misalignments and feel how they influence the spine, hips, and posture. Through gentle corrective movements and practical tools, we’ll rediscover how the pelvis can once again become a stable foundation rather than a source of strain, supporting the body to sit, stand, and move with greater ease.
Ahmed will lead you through a comprehensive exploration of how to safely and confidently practice any level of inversion without struggle. Learn drills to build strength, control, and confidence in skills such as assisted headstands, forearm stands and handstands. Leave the workshop feeling empowered, inspired, and ready to take your inversion practice to the next level!
