As we enter hurricane season with the mighty force of Ian, we take an opportunity to send care, loving kindness, and compassion to all those in this – or any – storm's path. If nothing else, contemplative and embodied practices such as yoga, daily mindfulness, and meditation equip us with some of the psychosocial and emotional strength required to weather storms both large and small.
Our hearts and minds are with those in Puerto Rico and Florida and everywhere else lying in the wake of this current storm, and anyplace where suffering takes hold as we strive to coexist on this struggling planet.
