This workshop will take place in our Arlington studio and on Zoom. The recording will be available for one month following the live presentation.
The psoas is arguably the most influential skeletal and postural muscle of the body. It links the spine, diaphragm, and legs, acting as a messenger between the inner self and the outer world. The psoas is involved in almost every movement we make – walking, running and sitting, and it provides important pathways for neural messages. While the psoas muscle is extraordinarily sensitive and responsive, we often find it difficult to feel or locate it within the body, and often it is the culprit for chronic hip pain, back pain, and digestive issues.
Amir's workshop will teach you all about the psoas and the importance of maintaining proper flexibility and function of this muscle. In this workshop, you will evaluate your own psoas functionality and learn therapeutic techniques for restoring proper flexibility and balance as well as creating a psoas maintenance routine. Suitable for all people - no yoga experience necessary.
