In-Depth Teacher Training & Advanced Studies
Our training program is for students or current teachers of yoga who realize that yoga is a deeply intimate event for the body-mind-spirit and that its beauty lies in how differently it is expressed from person to person. We offer essential information and tools to help guide the emerging teacher in finding his or her unique voice and style of teaching.
Foundations Program - 200-hour Basic Teacher Training
Our introductory-level teacher training is for anyone seeking to deepen their practice and understanding of yoga, whether it's to share with and teach it to others, or enhance one's own experience of yoga's depths.
Why "In-Depth"?
Our program name is deliberate. We set the stage for life-long study. Rather than rushing through generalized certification standards, we focus our work on the rich and deep traditions of yoga. Sun & Moon In-Depth stands apart from other teacher training programs with:
Guest teaching from some of the country’s most prominent teachers;
Richly eclectic training and inspiration from Sun & Moon’s own senior teachers;
A vast web of learning from each other as our strong and committed community continually expands;
Support and guidance in the direction that serves you.
In-Depth faculty includes senior Sun & Moon Yoga teachers as well as visiting guest teachers recognized nationwide as reputable and inspiring in their fields.
Ultimately, the journey of yoga has as much to do with our commitment to the path as the accumulation of knowledge. Nothing can substitute for the experience of applying to daily life what we take in as classroom study.
Whether you’re looking to deepen your understanding of yoga for your own development, to teach it to the general public , or to take your current teaching and use it to specialize in a certain population, our programs provide the skills to practice/teach/live with intelligence, safety and joy.
You’ll sharpen skills of observation to wisely discern appropriate techniques to meet your own and every unique need and aspiration.
